Deciduous Azaleas

These hybrids are characterized by an upright growth habit. Typically, they bloom in early summer and drop their leaves in winter. Their flowers produce five stamens and they typically bloom prior to or just as the new leaves are coming out.

Cultivars identified, as “Good Doers” are varieties chapter members have grown successfully for many years in the Midwest under a wide range of climate extremes. Good Doers are good choices for novices.
